Meshwe’s Beef Shawarma Sandwich

Meshwe makes great shawarmas, but they specialize in chicken not beef.
From the looks of it, they have just one vertical spit whch is used to cook the chicken, so they wind up frying the beef in a pan. The results aren’t quite the same. The beef tasted a little dry to me and not as tender had it been slow-cooked the traditional way on a rotisserie.
Everything else about the shawarma was great though. I especially loved the homemade pita bread. But again, chicken is king at Meshwe so I suggest ordering that instead. If this list weren’t exclusively for beef shawarmas, then I’d probably give their chicken shawarma at least a 4.5. It was really good.
